The Mariners won in the 9th with a walk-off single by Guillermo Heredia that scored Jarrod Dyson. Desperate for pitching after a rash of injuries, the Mariners turned to Sam Gaviglio, who threw five shutout innings.

The Rangers wrapped up an eight-game home stand with their ninth win in a row. Martin Perez pitched 7 innings, striking out 8 and giving up just two runs.
